Art Policy

We believe art is one of the most important aspects of a card game to enhance its feels, its moods, its collectability, and overall brings the life out of the game and into the hands of the players. Here below we discuss our art policy.

Working with artists and bringing the human emotion to a TCG through visual masterpieces is a key fundamental part of a card game and should be at the core of the experience of opening, enjoying, and playing the game. That is why we want to be fully transparent on the artwork that is here on this website and on the concept cards thus far as well as transparent for the artists that we contact and wish to work with.

AI art will not be in the final product of Blood and Salt TCG.

As a solo designer and developer thus far, I have needed a way to bring to life the game and world that I have created starting in 2019. Though I would consider myself somewhat artistic, I wanted to do justice to the card art for the game I was designing as a passion project and therefore chose to not make the art myself and temporarily use AI art to give the feeling and mood of the game.

AI art is purely for providing the mood of the game to represent the ideas of what I wish the game to appear to artists as concept art as well as pitching the game to investors. Additionally, in wake of AI art being tied to stealing from artists to teach its engines, all those involved with Blood and Salt Studios have permanently stopped operations of creating any further AI art for its use in concept art. This is why you will see the same AI art used in multiple places on our website. Currently, I am working on getting Blood and Salt TCG onto Kickstarter in the near future with the sole purpose of raising the funds to provide the quality of art for the game I feel it deserves and getting Blood and Salt TCG into traditional distribution markets.

Being transparent is extremely important to all of us at Blood and Salt Studios and we do not take your trust lightly. Communication is always open between us and our communities on all of our policies. We kindly ask for some grace and patience as we do our very best to bring Blood and Salt TCG to the market in the correct ways. For more, see our other policies as they publish or join our discord!
